- Conference: The 36th Annual Conference of the Japan International Education Society
- Date: October 11–12, 2025
- Venue: Kanazawa-Hakkei Campus, Kanto Gakuin University
- Presenter: Yukinori Watanabe (Sagami Women’s University)
This presentation reported comparative findings on Japanese marriage-migrant families in South Korea, Taiwan, China, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore, with particular attention to language education. It examined how Japanese, local languages, and English were positioned differently across families and how these differences shaped school choice and future planning. Framed within international and comparative education, the presentation showed how multilingual educational planning operates as a negotiation between schooling systems, migration possibilities, and family futures.
